LESSON EIGHTEEN 26/07/2020
Hi Parents & Carers,
Welcome to Kidzone online. Today we continue with our “Under Construction Series” and this lesson is called “Right On Schedule”. There are times we all feel discouraged. We wonder if God still cares, and we may even wonder if we are still saved. Nothing can separate us from God’s love. Nothing will stop Him from loving us.
Bottom Line:God will finish the work He starts in our lives.
Objective: Kids will learn that it can take time, but if we continue to trust Him, God will build us into people who live more and more like Jesus.
Memory Verse: “If the Lord doesn’t build a house, the work of the builders is useless.” Psalm 127:1a (NIrV)
Scripture to read: Romans 8:26-39, More Than Conquerors
Summary: Everyone hopes to hear from their builder that construction is “right on schedule.” Sometimes we might get discouraged, thinking we are too weak or that we are not good enough. We must remember that when we follow Jesus, God goes to work inside us. God is building something good and amazing in us.
Activity: Have the kids cut out a square from orange construction paper. Turn it into a diamond shape, and have the kids make a “KIDS UNDER CONSTRUCTION” sign they can hang up at home.
Make this week’s lesson real: Talk to your kids about the schedules and deadlines you have to keep, from the kids’ sports schedules to paying the monthly bills. Talk with them about why it’s important to make those deadlines. Ask your kids how they can know God is working in them even when they feel like giving up.
Here are some great discussion starters:
- How do we know God is still working in us when we feel weak?
- Can anything separate us from God’s love?
- What can we do daily to keep growing our faith?
Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse.
Thank you for never giving up on us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thank you for your support and may God bless you all!
