LESSON TWENTY FIVE 13/09/2020
Welcome to Kidzone. Today we begin a new series called “Mission Possible.” There are four lessons in this series and our first one is called “Mission Assignment” The Great Commission says we are to preach the gospel to the whole world. This isn’t a mission for a few, but for all believers. Ask God to show you and your kids how you can carry out this mission every day.
Bottom Line: God has a mission for everyone!
Objective: Kids will learn that God has a mission for each of us.
Memory Verse: “All things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27b (NIrV)
Scripture to read: Acts 9:1-19, Saul’s Conversion
Summary: Saul was on a mission: to stop the Christians from telling people about Jesus. Then on the road to Damascus, Saul was blinded by a light and given a new mission: To go throughout the world and preach the name of Jesus.
Activity: Give each of the kids a mini-flashlight; or have them make a flashlight, torch or another type of light using brightly coloured construction paper and other bright craft materials. The light represents the light Saul saw on the road to Damascus
Make this week’s lesson real:
Does your work place have a mission statement? Share that with your kids, or share a current mission/project you have going at work or at home. Ask your kids if they know what God’s mission is for the church and Christians.
Here are some great discussion starters:
- Who was Saul?
- Why did God command Saul to begin spreading the good news about Jesus?
- Why is it important that we accept God’s mission?
Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse.
Help us to fulfill the mission you gave us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thank you for your support and may God bless you all!
