Welcome to Kidzone. Today we continue with our “Mission Possible series.” Lesson 2 is called “Incredible Skills.” God gives us all spiritual gifts and talents that we can use to serve Him. It’s a misuse of those gifts to bring glory only to ourselves. Encourage your kids to give thanks and praise to God as they explore and exercise the gifts God gave them.

Bottom Line: God gives us tools to fulfil our mission.

Objective: Kids will learn that everything we do should bring glory to God.

Memory Verse: “All things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27b (NIrV)

Scripture to read: Acts 9:1-19, Saul’s Conversion

Summary: Some spies have very special skills that allow them to do seemingly impossible things. Paul also did quite a few impossible things, but it wasn’t because of his skills, it was by the power of God. When Paul healed a man with crippled feet, the people thought Paul was some sort of god. But Paul set the people straight: it was only through the power of Jesus that Paul was able to do any of the incredible things that he did.

Activity: Have each of the kids draw themselves doing something they are talented at, and then have them show in the drawing how they can use that gift for God’s glory. Alternate idea: Have the kids create awards using construction paper. Then allow them to have a talent show where each child can perform a talent and the other kids can give their awards to the performer and tell them how their talent can glorify God.

Weekly Tasks:

Make this week’s lesson real:

What talents do your kids have? Take some time to encourage them in their special gifts this week, and ask them how those gifts can be used to serve God.

Here are some great discussion starters:

- What happened when Paul healed a crippled man?

- What did Paul say was the reason why he was able to heal the disabled man?

- What does God want us to do with the special gifts He has given us?

Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse.

Dear God,

Show us the gifts you’ve given us to carry out your mission. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Thank you for your support and may God bless you all!
