LESSON TWENTY EIGHT 04/10/2020
Welcome to Kidzone. Today is our last lesson of the “Mission Possible series.” Lesson 4 is called “Great Escape.” A good secret agent never abandons the mission, and a dedicated believer never forgets his or her mission to serve the Lord. Pray that God will grant you and your kids the perseverance to love and serve Him always.
Bottom Line: Never give up serving Jesus and sharing His love.
Objective: Kids will learn that we should never give up on the mission to share Jesus.
Memory Verse: “All things are possible with God.” Mark 10:27b (NIrV)
Scripture to read: Acts 16:16-34, Paul & Silas in Prison
Some people were against Paul’s mission to tell the world about Jesus. Some of these people were able to have Paul and Silas arrested and thrown in jail. But Paul and Silas never gave up on their mission; in the end, their jailer and all of his family put their faith
Activity: Using construction paper and markers, have the kids make their own secret agent badges. Include their names and their mission - to share the love of Jesus with the world - somewhere on the badge.
Make this week’s lesson real:
Are there any projects around the house that have fallen by the wayside? Take one up again this week, and with your kids’ help, get it done. Ask your kids why it’s so important that we stay focused on serving God and fulfilling the mission He has given us.
Here are some great discussion starters:
- Why didn’t Paul and Silas escape from prison?
- Why did the jailer and his family become Christians?
- Why is it important for us to stay focused on serving God?
Quiz your child on this week’s memory verse.
Help us to persevere as we fulfill your mission for our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Thank you for your support and may God bless you all!
