LESSON THREE - 12/04/2020
Hi Parents and carers,
Welcome to another weekend at KidZone Online. We pray you are all well and we want to assure you that all of you are in our prayers. This weekend we get ready for a very important weekend when our Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for us, however, on the third day He was risen! Hallelujah! Today’s activity is on the Resurrection. Thank you for your support and God bless you!
Theme: EGGS-CITING NEWS!
What you need to know:
This week we are concluding our study of the Easter story. If your child asks about wanting to receive Jesus as their Saviour, discuss it with them, pray with them, and encourage them to take this commitment seriously so they can grow strong in their new found faith!
Aim: Children will learn that Jesus’ death is not the end of the story. Despite being dead, buried and secured in a tomb, Jesus was raised in power to life again on Easter Sunday! Because of what Jesus did at Easter, we can experience forgiveness of our sins and new life too.
Memory verse: “Anyone who believes in Christ is a new creation. The old is gone! The new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIrV)
Scripture to read:
Some questions you can ask:
Where was Jesus buried?
Why was the tomb empty on Sunday?
Why did Jesus die and rise from the grave?
VIDEO FOR TODAY'S LESSON:
Activity: Have the children complete the worksheets below. Please feel free to add any other craft activity you find on the internet. There are so many available to choose from.
If you would like to help children remember the Memory Verse, you can print the little poster below and place it somewhere in your home e.g the fridge
Make this week’s lesson real - ask your child/ren to show you the eggs they coloured in, including the ones from two weeks ago, and explain what they represent from the Easter story.
Egg 10: Cloth - Jesus' burial
Egg 11: Rock - The Tomb
Egg 12: Empty - He is Risen!
Thank you for your support and may God bless you all!
